Jo Lowry
After studying music in her home town of Manchester and holding a Principal Cornet position with a Championship Section Brass band, Joanne spent the next 14 years teaching music in secondary schools, taking choirs and groups to perform in wonderful venues such as St Paul’s Cathedral and The Royal Symphony Hall. She then continued her studies at Post graduate level delving into teaching excellence.
She moved to Hereford 12 years ago to be with her family and took a Head Of Music position in a local secondary school. During her 7 years at the school she created a culture of music and singing and left the school with over a fifth of all pupils involved in choirs.
In 2022 she became the Singing For Wellbeing Manager for Herefordshire and now works across the community and in educational settings , creating opportunities for more people to experience the huge health benefits of music making, working with high profile musical names such as Gareth Malone, Laura Wright and Mark DeLisser.
In July of 2025 this work was recognised and she was invited by King Charles to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Joanne regularly partners with The Three Choirs Festival and is looking forward to taking part in Choir Lab in October.

Emma Wheat
Emma Wheat is a music leader, choir director and facilitator creating immersive, inclusive singing experiences across community, education and corporate settings. She is founder of Emma Wheat Music and Co-Director of Sounds Joyful CIC, an organisation born from grassroots community music-making and shaped by a belief that shared musical experience can transform connection, belonging and wellbeing.
Emma's runs PRP Contemporary Voices and monthly drop-in PRP Gospel sessions—both known for their uplifting pop, soul and gospel sound and featuring a live band at every session.
Emma also delivers corporate music workshops, drawing on her experience of building extraordinary, connected communities to help teams strengthen communication, collaboration and trust through shared creative experience.

Ben Sawyer
Ben Sawyer is a dynamic conductor and workshop leader known for his affable manner, clear musical vision, and ability to draw expressive, confident singing from ensembles. Based in Gloucestershire, he directs several choirs, including The Oriel Singers and Tyndale Choral Society, and founded both Gloucestershire Boys’ Choir and Cheltenham Chamber Choir. His projects often bring communities together through ambitious programming and high‑level music‑making.
Ben is widely recognised for his engaging choral workshops, where he combines vocal technique, ensemble awareness, and stylistic insight to inspire singers of all ages. Alongside his conducting work, he maintains an active career as a countertenor and consort singer, currently serving as a lay clerk at Gloucester Cathedral. His contributions to choral music were acknowledged with the Joyner Cup for outstanding service to the arts in Cheltenham.

Jo Coomber
Jo Coomber is a music and wellbeing practitioner, facilitator and co-director of Sounds Joyful. Through rhythm, sound and voice, she creates uplifting and inclusive experiences that help people connect, express themselves and discover the joy of making music together.
Jo leads True Voice Tribe at Wells Cathedral and has facilitated retreats at Ammerdown Retreat Centre since 2015. Known for her warm, playful approach, she encourages participants to step beyond perfection and explore creativity, connection and confidence in a welcoming and pressure-free environment.

Beth Morgan
Beth Morgan is known online internationally as The Creative Choir Leader. Her CCL newsletter, blog, website, Facebook group and online membership supports over 1.5K choir leaders from around the world. In this role she has worked with Mark De Lisser, Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect), John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Karen Gibson (The Kingdom Choir), Kim Samuels (Renewal Choir), Roger Emerson (world’s top selling arranger for pop choral music), Suzzi Vango (How to Make Your Choir Sound Awesome), Greg Link (Apollo 5) and Joanna Tomlinson (National Youth Choir of Great Britain) to name but a few.
Leading choirs for 30 years, Beth is formerly the Musical Director for the Bristol Military Wives Choir (2015-2024) and the founder of The Great Day Choir (2017-present) and The Bristol Groove (2024-present). Beth is in demand as choir workshop leader and specialises in women’s voices.
Beth has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Queensland. She has taken conducting training with Choral Music Experience and Sing for Pleasure. In 2022, she was a participant in The Inspiration Course in Innovative Pop and Jazz Choral Directing at the Royal Academy of Music Vocal Centre, Aalborg, Denmark. She is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

I have been bringing music to people for over 25 years in my capacity as musical director, choir leader, composer, arranger and teacher. As an enthusiastic, skilled and motivated musician I enjoy inspiring others to become fully involved and exceed their expectations. I work across all genres from Classical Choral tradition, Musical Theatre, and Pop, conducting a diverse range of choirs and orchestras, and also compose arrangements by commercial request. Matt has run MyPubChoir for several years - and gets random people together in a pub, and teaches them pop and rock songs, creating a unique blend!
Highlights of my career to date include:

Choirthon - getting 20 local choirs together to sing for 10 hours and raise over £5000 for charity
• Musical Director for 8 ensembles, recording Glorias & Requiems with hundreds of singers online during covid
• Organising 6 "Choirshows" on YouTube with over 50 different choirs from all over the UK
• Musical Director for a Choral Classics Weekend in Bath with 70 singers
• Producing an afternoon of singing in Bath Football Stadium
• Vivaldi’s Gloria in Venice and a live broadcast at Christmas on Radio 4 of a carol from Bath
• Founding "ChoirLab", an annual event where 250 singers try different styles of choir

Alice Dicker
Alice studied clarinet and bassoon at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and enjoyed many years afterward performing as a soloist whilst also conducting a concert band. For the last nine years she has focused on choral conducting, singing, and teaching, and is the Musical Director for Glastonbury Male Voice Choir and South Petherton Combined Arts Society Choir. Alice is the Singing Teacher/Vocal Coach at Huish Episcopi Academy, has a handful of private students, and works as a freelance singer and conductor.

Bruce Ncube
Bruce Ncube is UK based Zimbabwean award winning artists who travels across the globe teaching traditional/folk & gospel songs from his home country & other Southern African countries in multiple languages & 3 to 6 part harmonies. His workshop leading approach is in the aural way; reminiscent of the old days in Africa when people would gather in the evenings around a fire, at funerals, weddings, while tilling the land & start weaving harmonies.

Jack Hamilton
Originally a chorister at Worcester Cathedral, Jack later studied Music at Bristol University.
Since then, he has worked professionally as a conductor, vocal coach and musician, touring the UK and Europe extensively in various bands, playing countless shows and festivals including Glastonbury.
Jack conducts several of the Bristol and Bath 'Show Choirs', sharing his passion for singing with other musical theatre lovers!

Katie Truman-Williams
Katie is the Founder and Conductor of Evergreen Chorus - www.evergreenchorus.com. She is currently completing her MA in Voice Pedagogy with a specialism in Choral Diction. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, she read Music at Bristol University and spent many years working for The Bristol Music Trust. She loves conducting a wide variety of genres- never wanting to be pigeon-holed! She is also the newly appointed Conductor of Nova Singers, a regional Youth Chorus in South Wales.

Madeleine Cordes
Madeleine Cordes studied music at Canterbury Christchurch University and is an experienced choir leader, singing teacher and workshop facilitator with a passion for helping singers discover the joy of ensemble singing. She directs community choirs in East Kent and regularly leads classical choral and popular workshops for singers of all ages and abilities.
Alongside her teaching and conducting work, Maddie has extensive experience as a chamber choir singer, including singing with the acclaimed Felicitas, specialising in a cappella repertoire from Renaissance polyphony and madrigals to contemporary choral works.

Benedict Collins-Rice
Benedict has performed through Europe and the US (from The Royal Albert Hall to Carnegie Hall), recorded for several labels, for BBC and NBC Television, the BFI, and broadcast on BBC Radio 3 & 4.
Originally from Oxfordshire, he held two conducting scholarships at Cambridge University before continuing his studies with the heads of conducting at the Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, and Vienna University of Music. He studied for a Master's degree at Birmingham University where, studying under Simon Halsey, he gained the course’s highest-ever conducting mark.
Benedict is founder and artistic director of The Facade Ensemble, which specialises in 20th-century chamber music. They are currently Ensemble-in-Residence at The Courtauld Institute, and enjoying a reputation for 'razor-sharp' (The Arts Desk), 'first-rate' (MusicOMH), and 'stunning' (Robert Hugill) performances.
As a chorus master, Benedict works across England as the Musical Director of Ipswich Chamber Choir, Bath Bach Choir, Bury Bach Choir, Eye Bach Choir, and the Mid Norfolk Singers. His current choirs attest to his ‘knowledge, style, inspiration, enthusiasm and love of music’, as well as his sense of fun. He also follows in the footsteps of Holst and Tippett in holding the post of Lecturer & Choir Tutor at Morley College.
As well as chorus mastering, Benedict has worked with the Berlin Sinfonietta, assisted with the BBC Concert Orchestra and conducted the Southbank Sinfonia and British Youth Opera. He was conductor of the West Kent Youth Orchestra for many years, and has been a guest conductor for choirs, orchestras, and opera companies around the country.
Benedict has composed and arranged over a hundred pieces of music for choirs and instrumental ensembles. His most recent sound installation celebrating Calvino's centenary year had a world tour including residencies in Liverpool, California, the Bermondsey Project Space (London), and the Arte Borgo Gallery (Rome).
