Get ready to relive the soundtrack of the 90s in this fun, uplifting singing workshop.  Together we'll sing our way through unforgettable club anthems, powerful choruses, and feel-good melodies that filled dance floors across the country.
Expect soaring vocals inspired by the hit that declared the rhythm is a dancer, a chance to tackle the famous question what is love?, and an opportunity to raise your voices to an optimistic anthem reminding us that things can only get better.

ACAPELLA MUSICAL THEATRE

This will be a fast paced and energising workshop in a supportive and fun atmosphere. We will learn a four part a cappella arrangement of 'We Don't Talk Bout Bruno' from Disney's Encanto. We will take a look at vocal technique around belting and what this means for different registers while singing this style of music. Sheet music will be available, but everything will be taught by ear part by part, so please don't feel you need to read music.

We'll unpack his moving motet 'Lugebat David Absalom', discovering how its extraordinary emotional depth and colour are built from intertwining lines. Learn to sing ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ in an authentic Country & Western Style! 

Join Conductor Katie Truman-Williams in a workshop that will be both joyful and fun! Come away with core skills for interpreting country choral music authentically.

This workshop is based on recent Masters Research Katie has undertaken in Choral Diction and Genre Authenticity, as well as her Certification in Accents & Linguistics.  Be prepared to try new ideas, and get stuck into that country twang!

Revel in the female voice!. We'll learn a variety of short songs aimed to explore the different registers and timbres of unison and harmony songs written for female voices including folk, pop and jazz. All lyrics/music will be provided at the session.

Maddie has a particular interest in early music and vocal storytelling, and enjoys bringing historical repertoire to life through engaging, accessible workshops. Her sessions combine musical detail, historical context and good humour, helping singers develop confidence, blend and expression. 

For this workshop, Maddie will explore the rich world of the English madrigal, celebrating the colours, imagery and humour of autumn through some of the finest examples from the Renaissance.  Nearer the day, a link to the music will be provided in PDF format, wioth spare copies brought on the day for you to use.

Discover the rich and wonderful world of choral Lieder! Through works by Schumann and Brahms, we will explore the expressive possibilities of our singing - covering important aspects of a bel canto approach to vocal technique, interpretation of Romantic music, and convincing delivery of German text. More importantly - it's just lovely lovely music!  Near the day a PDF copy of the music will be made available, with spare copies available on the day.
